PRIVACY

Protecting your privacy
CUSTOM ITALY takes its responsibilities regarding privacy of customer information very seriously. Read our policy for more detail. We will not pass your data to any third party other than our insurance provider where relevant.

Why do we need passenger information and how do we use it?
When you book a villa or apartment with CUSTOM ITALY, we need to know your name, address, telephone and fax numbers, emergency contact name and telephone number, credit or debit card number and expiration date. We also need to know all the names of the persons travelling.

This information allows us to process your booking and to send through your accommodation reservation by fax or post. We ask for your telephone number so that we can contact you urgently if there is a problem with your reservation.

You can also opt for us to remember your address for your next visit. This will make your next flight booking even quicker.

When you subscribe to our e-mail service, CUSTOM ITALY mail, we ask for your name and e-mail address so that we can send you our e-mail newsletter.  We may use the information we collect occasionally to notify you about new CUSTOM ITALY services, important functional changes to the web site and special offers we think you'll find valuable.

What security do we use to protect your information?
When you book for an accodomation, we offer the use of secure server software that encrypts all information you input before it is sent to us. This ensures that the information is reasonably protected against unauthorised interception.

In order to comply with our obligations under the Data Protection Acts of 1984 and 1998, we also follow strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of information which you have given us, to prevent unauthorised access to that information.

Our use of "cookies"
Cookies are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. These can be deleted by you from your hard drive if you so wish. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can change your browser settings to prevent that. Even without a cookie you can use most of the features on the web site.

CUSTOM ITALY uses "cookies" to provide you with tailored web-site services, for instance taking you to the last Region you have checked and remembering your address so that you don't have to re-enter it each time you make a booking (this latter service is opt-in).

Our cookies do not contain any personally identifying information.

Does CUSTOM ITALY disclose the information it collects to outside parties?
We never disclose information about a holiday maker to any other person or organisation without your consent unless there is an emergency situation that requires it or we are legally required to do so.

CUSTOM ITALY reserves the right to pass your information on to trustworthy third parties that we use for the provision of certain services, for instance allowing CUSTOM ITALY customers to book car hire services quickly and easily by transferring details from the CUSTOM ITALY booking form to our partners' booking forms.

Your consent
In using the CUSTOM ITALY web site, you consent to the collection and use of this information by CUSTOM ITALY in the ways described above.

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page so that you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it and in what circumstances we disclose it.
