Furnished to the highest standard the bedrooms feature terracotta flooring, ancient oak beams and antique furtniture and each has an en-suite marble clad bathroom. Il Monastero is surrounded by beautiful gardens perfumed with extensive banks of rosemary, lavender and thyme, with a swimming pool and private chapel.
Moscatelli Cottage in the grounds of Il Monastero estate, has 3 en-suite bedrooms which accommodate a further 6 guests. Featuring a kitchen, living room with open fire, dining room and private terraces, it has shared access to the swimming pool and Il Monastero facilities.
Access to the nearest village of Calzolaro is along only 500m of gravel road to the asphalt road beyond. The village has 2 bars, 2 supermarkets, hairdressers, ironmongers, shoe shop, clothes shop and post office. The best ice cream in Umbria is available at a bar only 5 minutes drive from Il Monastero! The nearest trattoria serving excellent pizza, is 5 minutes walk along the gravel road. There are many beautiful walks in the area or go for a ride on our vintage bicycles at Il Monastero to some of the nearby villages and surrounding countryside.
Self catering price includes, twice weekly cleaning service, heating, water and electric.
Cook, maid, babysitter and light laundry service are available by arrangement.
